For the first time in Danish 1:8 Offroad it was decided to race on an Astroturf track. It was great fun and the track was both fast and technical. Set-up and tire choice was much different but this was not the last time that the Hilleroed RC Racing Astroturf track would be used for 1:8 off-road races.

TQ went to Peter Harder, and runner up was THE Car driver Thomas Mortensen. The weekend before Thomas raced the Baja Endurance race on the same track and decided to race his first 1:8 off-road race in 3 years â“ and what a success (Thomas also made the fastest lap time in the final but radio problems just before the end pushed him from 3rd to 4th). The fastest lap time of the race was Peter Harder and the only driver to go below 30 seconds.
The rain started for the finals and unfortunately this had a very negative impact on the young Martin S. Hansen, who had to retire from his semi. Martin has been very dominant this year, racing his Novarossi-powered XRAY.

The final was a 2-man show. The first 30 minutes was led by Peter Harder and his lead varied from 8 to 15 sec. A mistake and two marshals who did not see Peterâ™s car allowed Claus Nielsen to take the lead. Claus drove super fast and consistent and took home the lead with 7 seconds over Peter Harder.
